Gallions Reach very own aerial outfit, Ascension Eagles, has
just had their outstanding work in the community, with the Talent
Central outreach, recognised by Gordon Brown. This adds to
recent success, winning overall European Champions, and the chance
to will represent England at the 2010 Cheerleading World
Championships.
Talent Central Program Manager Angela Brown said,
"To be an Ascension Eagle, you need a high level of
commitment, and while it is extremely rewarding, it can be
costly. Talent Central will offer cheer, dance and tumbling
classes to those who want to attend monthly classes and progress
their skills, without making the competition commitment. It's
a great way for people of all ages to enjoy the benefits of cheer
and dance."
Ascension Eagles will continue to operate their London
Cheerleading Academy outreach, which runs clubs in 25 schools each
week, and works with over 2600 young people annually.
Talent Central classes include Cheer & Dance teams for all
ages, as well as Power Cheer, Street Dance, Pom Dance, Jazz,
Cheer-a-cise and High School Musical Cheer & Dance.
Talent Central offers two, week-night Open Gym sessions on Tuesdays
and Wednesdays, 7.30-9pm, for £5 per person. Open Gym sessions are
a great way to supplement training needs, either on the full-spring
floor or on the Air TumbleTrack.
