Ascension Eagles to represent Great Britain

13 April 2010

Newham's Ascension Eagles leave this week to represent Great Britain at the Cheerleading World Championships in Florida.  Only the top one per cent of teams receive bids to compete at Worlds.

Ascension Eagles, established 1996, have been Britain's champions since 1998.  Ascension Eagles are the only team in the world to hold a national title for over a decade.  In addition to their record-breaking, history making Legacy, Ascension Eagles invest in their community, by training over 1000 young people each week!  They have set up London's first cheer gym at Gallions Reach Shopping Park in the Olympic borough of Newham.

AEC has been recognized as one of the UK's most successful youth programs, as well as Britain's best all-round cheer program. AEC aims to transform and inspire young people to reach their full potential, while providing the highest level of training, coaching and community development work. AEC makes a difference in the lives of young people so they can make a difference to others in their community and in the world.   www.ascensioneagles.com
